You guys – can we agree that holiday shopping has officially hit full-swing? Well, that is if you’re not me – I tend to make it a point to not be on top of anything, which means I literally haven’t purchased a single gift yet (#awesome). That being said, there’s one thing I have done in prep for getting my holiday shopping on: I gifted myself! Yep – you heard me right. I bought myself a lil’ gift or two. Does that make me a Selfish Samantha? Perhaps. But I think there’s another way to look at it: I genuinely tend to believe that when you treat yourself first, you feel more inspired to treat others – and it makes the whole holiday shopping process more exciting and fun! Right? Guys, am I crazy? Or can you get behind me on this? I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that you should all give it a try, and you should start with Target’s Wonderlist – a curated collection of adorable seasonal picks that would make awesome gifts for yourself, and for others too!
Happy Fri-yaaaaaay! You guys – I can’t even tell you how much I needed it to be the weekend. Anyone else in that boat? And praise the Lord that we’re moving into holiday times because this mama neeeeeeeds it so badly! So badly. Can’t really talk about why at the moment (it’s not as big of a deal as I just made it sound) but let’s just say that I’m reminding myself on the daily that it’s all about perspective. Perspective perspective perspective. The things going on or people’s opinions that seem to really matter right now in this moment aren’t actually that important in the grand scheme of things. If I’m doing my best and trying to improve and trying to be a good person each day, I can feel at peace. Amiright? Hope all of you are doing so so great and feeling so good about yourselves!

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Nutrimom for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine. Ok guys – progress talk time. I wanted to update you on how Nutrimom is helping this prego sister out in the ‘staying fit during pregnancy’ department. So here’s the latest! My coach Katie has been fabulous about sending me messages to check in on how I’m doing and see what progress I’m making with the goals I set. I get a notification and an email any time she sends me a message. You guys, I’m not gonna lie – there is something about having Personal Coaching during this crazy pregnancy time that is sooooo helpful. Not sure if it’s the accountability factor or if it just helps me remember the goals I’ve set in the first place, but for realsies – it’s helping! One of the initial goals I set with…
I’ve teamed up with Zappos and Hudson Jeans today, mostly for a couple reasons: a) I’ve always wanted to try out Hudson jeans and it turns out they’re amaze-balls; b) Zappos rocks and is one of my favorite places to shop online, and c) Hudson has launched their new women’s Fall 2015 denim line on Zappos, and it’s guuuuuuud. Say hello to perfectly distressed skinnies aaaaand [wait for it] – flare jeans. Yep I said flares. They’re making a comeback peeps. I don’t know if any of you have tried out Hudsons before, but they’re all they’re cracked up to be. Perfect amount of stretch, so comfy, and high quality. I’m wearing these skinny jeans in these pics and I loved them, and I was secretly also coveting these black skinnies and this bootcut pair (you best believe I’ll be giving the flares a try sooner or later here). Go Hudson! Go Zappos!

Happy Tuesday party people! My parentals were in town last weekend. Is there anything better than that, really? It’s funny how you spend your teenage years resisting the ‘rents a little bit and then as soon as you enter adulthood, move away, and particularly when you become a parent yourself, all you want is your mommy and daddy again. Well, at least that’s been my experience. My parents are the bomb-diggity-bomb though so that might be why.
