You may recall this post where we tried out Comforts Diapers on little Charlie babe. Well, we were so pleased with our experience with the diapers that we thought ‘hey – why not give some of Comforts’ other products a whirl?’
So we are doing just that! Comforts formula is NON-GMO and is produced using only ingredients that have not been genetically engineered. We had the opportunity to team up with Comforts formula to have our Charlotte Rose try out their new formula.
Now as many of you probably know, due to Charlotte’s health and the recent placement of her feeding tube (discussed in this post, this post, and this post), there are some unique needs we have to consider when selecting formula for her. I was instantly hopeful that Comforts formula could be a good fit for Charlie-babe when I learned that: first of all, the formula is NON-GMO, which means that there are zero genetically engineered ingredients in the formula. The purer the better for my baby girl! Secondly, there are multiple varieties of the formula, so I felt like I was able to pick something that would specifically suit Charlie’s needs. They have Comforts Infant, Advantage, Gentle, Sensitivity, and Tender.
For Charlotte, we tried out Comforts Sensitivity and Tender formulas, which are specifically designed for babies who may have sensitive tummies and are modeled after the complete nutrition of breast milk. Both formulas could also be used in Charlie’s G-tube. Charlie actually took surprisingly well to both formulas. She drank just as much if not more than she usually does from the bottle before we supplemented her meal with the G-tube, per our new routine.
The other golden aspect of this formula: the price! Any mom who has had to formula feed their baby at all knows that this stuff isn’t cheap, and when added on top of all the other expenses, like diapers and wipes and you name it – it all really starts to add up. Comforts makes a point to offer high quality products at a much friendlier price than their ‘big brand’ competitors. And I think that’s something any mama can seriously appreciate. I know I do.
If you have a wee babe of formula feeding age, I’d highly recommend trying out Comforts formula. The Comforts brand is carried by several different grocers, and you can visit HERE to see where the closest retailer would be for you!
Let me know if you have any additional questions about our experience with Comforts formula!
Have a Wishful Wednesday!
